Explicação

Open any German newspaper, contract or academic article: these prepositions are in all of them. They separate text that reads as translated from text that reads as written from inside the language.

All take the Genitiv. They are the formal counterparts of wegen, durch and über.

The one that is not genitive

im Hinblick auf takes the Akkusativ.

Swapping in the dative is a habit picked up from spoken wegen; in formal text it marks the writer as a learner.

🧠 aufgrund = cause · angesichts = in view of · infolge = later consequence · hinsichtlich = specific aspect.

Exemplos

Aufgrund der anhaltenden Trockenheit wurden die Erntemengen reduziert.
Due to the persistent drought, harvest quantities were reduced.
Hinsichtlich der Datenschutzbestimmungen gibt es noch offene Fragen.
Regarding data protection regulations, there are still open questions.
Im Rahmen des Projekts wurden neue Arbeitsplätze geschaffen.
Within the framework of the project, new jobs were created.
